   DHRUV64: India's first indigenous 64-bit microprocessor unveiled⁴⁵⁶

   MeitY announced DHRUV64, a 1.0 GHz dual-core 64-bit processor developed by C-DAC. It uses the open-source RISC-V architecture and is built on a 28 nm process.

   • Announced 15 December 2025 by MeitY
   • Developer: C-DAC, under the Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) programme
   • Architecture: RISC-V, 64-bit dual core at about 1.0 GHz
   • 28 nm process node (taped out in Taiwan, per secondary reports)
