   India and Netherlands sign MoUs on Gujarat's Kalpasar project¹²³

   Two tripartite MoUs with the CWC, Gujarat's Kalpasar Department, Deltares and TU Delft were signed at India International Water Week 2026, following a May 2026 Letter of Intent.

   • Two MoUs signed 24 September 2026 at the ninth India International Water Week (22 to 26 September), Bharat Mandapam
   • Parties: CWC, Gujarat's Kalpasar Department, Deltares and TU Delft
   • Letter of Intent signed 16 May 2026 during Modi's Netherlands visit
   • Reservoir across the Gulf of Khambhat using Sabarmati, Mahi, Dhadhar and Narmada water

   Jal Shakti tells Rajya Sabha Kalpasar DPR is nearing finalisation with Indo-Dutch help⁴

   In a written Rajya Sabha reply, Jal Shakti MoS Raj Bhushan Choudhary said the Kalpasar project's DPR is at an advanced stage of finalisation, per the Gujarat government; Indo-Dutch technical cooperation is under way to strengthen it. The project envisages about 2,470 MW of hybrid renewable energy capacity on reclaimed land.
