Pickaxe Mountain, Iran's deep site near Natanz, draws Trump threat123
Pickaxe Mountain is an Iranian underground nuclear-related site about 2 km (a mile) south of the bombed Natanz complex, with main chambers thought to lie at least 100 m underground. President Trump threatened to strike it in mid-July 2026 and repeated the threat in September; the IAEA has no inspector access to bombed sites and Iran declared the site to the IAEA in 2020 as a future centrifuge-assembly facility.
